This is part of the article: A weekend at the Slipway Complex. Here I will be sharing my experience at Thai Kani
Etched just by the ocean on the slipway complex, Thai Kani is the best kept secret in Dar es salaam. Right in the heart of the Msasani Peninsula, this Thai /Japanese fusion restaurant that serves the best Sushi and Sashimi and the most authentic Thai cuisines.
It delights in their signature rolls, octopus, crabs, lobster and curries.
I wouldn’t call myself the best sushi and Thai food lover in the world, so I had to bring along my best friend who is a love of these cuisines to indulge ourselves into this hearty meals…
- Plate A:
This plate comprises of sushi mix of:
Calamari with tuna roll
- Plate B:
Smoked salmon nigari (oh la la!, highly recommended! My fav!)
Crab with cucumber roll.
- Plate C:
They call this the “Pla Rad Prik”
Deep fried whole fish in sweet chili sauce!
Oh la la!
- The Traveler’s Cocktail!
I actually asked them to make a cocktail in my honor! And here it is! You won’t find it on the menu. Just ask them to make you this and you will never regret it!
If looking at this doesn’t make you wanna make you drink it…I have no words for you! Hahaha!
And I really liked this decoration set forth with the meals….
Good prices, beautiful services and good management!
Sushi and Thai food lovers, there you go! Good location! And wanna know the bonus? Beautiful scenery as the restaurant is etched just by the ocean.
