Cowrie Gourd Set

Dried and cured calabash gourds, each inlaid with a mosaic of natural cowrie shells and sealed with a beeswax finish. Made by artisans in the highlands of Rwanda, the gourds are harvested at full maturity, cleaned, and decorated in patterns unique to each maker. Displayed as a set on a surface or shelf, they carry the texture of the landscape they came from — unhurried, natural, quietly beautiful.
